Story Summary
The story starts after defeating the evil Demon King; the hero party returns home victorious. The group consists of Frieren (an elf) the mage, Himmel (a human) the hero, Heiter (a human) the priest, and Eisen (a Dwarf) the warrior. As they prepare to go their separate ways, they reminisce about their ten-year adventure together. Unlike other humans and dwarves, Frieren, an elf, experiences time differently because of her long lifespan. She sadly watches her human companions age and pass away one by one. After the death of Himmel, she becomes very emotional and realizes she should have known him better.
Before Heiter death, He introduces Frieren to a young human apprentice named Fern. Intrigued by Frieren’s love for collecting various magic spells, the two of them embark on a journey with no clear destination in mind. They revisit the places that the hero party had once explored. During their travels, Frieren begins to reflect on the missed opportunities she had to form deeper connections with her now-deceased friends.
