Heiter is one of the members of the Hero Party who defeated the Demon King. He is a human priest who always loves to drink alcohol and beer. That’s why Frieren called him the Corrupt Priest. After defeating the Demon King, he returned to the Holy City and started working as a bishop.
Years later, he found an orphan girl, Fern, whose family was killed by demons in the war. He decided to adopt her. After 20 years following Himmel’s death, Frieren visited Heiter when he was in his last few months of life. He told Frieren to look after Fern, teach her about magic, and take Fern with her on her new journey.
Power and Abilities
Heiter possesses a unique ability to accurately sense and measure the mana of other mages. When he first encountered Frieren, he was able to estimate that she had about one-fifth of his own mana. Remarkably, Heiter could also tell that Frieren was holding back her true mana, a skill that even the powerful Sage of Destruction, Aura the Guillotine, could not achieve. This insight proved valuable when Heiter was raising Fern to become a mage, as he applied his knowledge of mana restraint.
In terms of mana capacity, Heiter’s is quite impressive. He calculated that Frieren, while holding back her power, had approximately one-fifth of his total mana. Aura mentioned that Frieren’s mana had remained largely consistent over the 80 years since she traveled with the Hero Party. Despite her restrained mana, which equates to roughly 100 years of training, Heiter, as a young adult, possessed a mana capacity equivalent to 500 years of training.
Being a Priest, Heiter is skilled in utilizing the Goddess’s magic as described in the scriptures. He has also demonstrated the ability to heal injuries using these scriptures. Prior to embarking on his journey with Himmel, Heiter learned a powerful spell known as the Three Spears of the Goddess, which allows him to control the direction of each spear.
Heiter has mastered a supportive spell that enables survival without the need for food, water, or oxygen. This spell can sustain its effect for up to two months. He also knows a stealth magic spell that prevents his mana detection ability from being triggered. When cast, this spell creates a protective circle around Heiter and those nearby, making them undetectable to mana sensing.
