Toji Fushiguro The Strongest None Curse User

Toji Fushiguro, originally Toji Zenin, was born into the prestigious Zenin clan, but due to his lack of cursed energy, he was treated like an outcast. This led to a deep resentment towards the jujutsu society that valued power above people. Unlike most characters in Jujutsu Kaisen, Toji was born with a rare Heavenly Restriction that took away all his cursed energy but gave him superhuman physical abilities in return.

He became infamous under the alias The Sorcerer Killer, making a living as a deadly mercenary for hire. Despite being a non-sorcerer, Toji was capable of defeating powerful curse users and even went toe-to-toe with prodigies like Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru.

Complex Personality

Toji is calm, confident, and terrifyingly calculating in battle — but underneath that cold demeanor lies a tragic story. His choice to sell his son, Megumi, to the Zenin clan is heartbreaking, not out of hatred, but twisted hope that his son would have a better future due to his inherited technique. It’s an act that shows how broken Toji truly was, both emotionally and morally.

Even though he appeared to lack fatherly affection, his final act in the series — sacrificing himself to protect Megumi without even revealing their bond — speaks volumes. In that one moment, we see Toji the man, not the monster.

His Impact

Toji’s combat prowess is legendary. His speed, strength, and precision are unmatched, and his knowledge of sorcerer tactics made him lethal. His ability to nullify techniques with tools like the Inverted Spear of Heaven made him a walking nightmare for even the strongest sorcerers.

His legacy lives on through Megumi, who carries both the burden and the potential Toji believed in. And even though Gojo ultimately defeated him, Toji’s influence shaped many key events in the Jujutsu Kaisen storyline — directly and indirectly.

Abilities and Powers

Toji Fushiguro was a highly skilled and dangerous fighter, despite having no cursed energy. Due to a rare condition known as Heavenly Restriction, all of his cursed energy was removed in exchange for enhanced physical abilities. This made his body incredibly strong, fast, and sharp, allowing him to fight at the highest level even without sorcery.

Toji had superhuman strength, speed, and reflexes, making it hard for even the most powerful sorcerers to keep up with him. He could easily dodge attacks and strike back with deadly precision. His five senses were so sharp that he could sense curses without any cursed energy.

He was also a master weapons user. Toji stored his weapons inside a cursed spirit, switching them out during battle depending on what he needed. He used both regular tools and powerful cursed weapons like the Inverted Spear of Heaven, which could cancel out any cursed technique it touched. Another weapon he used effectively was Playful Cloud, a tool that boosts physical attacks and depends on the user’s raw strength—something Toji had in abundance.

Gojo vs. Toji – Fight Summary

The fight between Toji Fushiguro and Satoru Gojo in the Gojo’s Past Arc is one of the most intense battles in Jujutsu Kaisen. At the time, Gojo was a student at Jujutsu High and already extremely powerful, possessing both the Limitless cursed technique and the Six Eyes, a rare and powerful ability.

Toji was hired by the Time Vessel Association to kill the Star Plasma Vessel, a girl who was being protected by Gojo and Suguru Geto. Toji carefully planned his attack and wore the two down over several days before finally striking.

In a surprise attack, Toji used his speed, weapons, and lack of cursed energy to sneak up on Gojo, bypassing his defenses. He landed a fatal blow and even stabbed Gojo through the throat and chest, seemingly killing him. Then, Toji defeated Geto easily as well.

However, Gojo survived by awakening a deeper understanding of his powers. After healing himself using Reverse Cursed Technique, he returned stronger than ever. In their second encounter, Gojo overwhelmed Toji with his full power and used the powerful Hollow Purple technique to finish him off.

Even in defeat, Toji made a lasting impression, showing how deadly someone can be without cursed energy if they are smart, skilled, and powerful enough.

Personal Take

Toji isn’t just a villain or an anti-hero. He’s a representation of the people left behind by rigid systems. He’s what happens when someone is broken by rejection and pain but still clings to some fragment of hope, even if it’s buried deep beneath layers of blood and regret. Every scene with him feels like watching someone fight against both the world and themselves.
