Kandiaru is known as the Architect who designed Jinwoo’s power leveling system. He is the main boss of the Double Dungeon. He created this system for Ashborn’s vassal, who could control his power and was searching for a human capable of controlling it. After years of searching, he found a vassal, who is Sung Jinwoo.
Why He Created This System
After the Monarchs decided to attack the human world, Kandiaru approached Ashborn with an offer. He wanted to help Ashborn find a suitable human body to enter the human world in exchange for his immortality. Since Ashborn was struggling to find a human body that could hold his power, he agreed to Kandiaru’s offer. To expedite the search, Kandiaru then created a system like a video game, where the host would level up with every quest completed, and each time a quest was completed, the host would gain a new power of the Shadow Monarch/Ashborn.
Despite years of searching without much success, Kandiaru eventually found a human who met all the requirements and even surpassed his expectations: Sung Jinwoo. However, Kandiaru doubted that Jinwoo was the right choice and objected when Ashborn decided to pick him as his vessel.
After Jinwoo reached level 100, Kandiaru again invited him to a double dungeon so that the Shadow Monarch could control Jinwoo’s body as planned. Architect gave Jinwoo a final quest to defeat him within 10 minutes. If he couldn’t, he would die. However, Jinwoo was able to defeat him within 10 minutes.
After the fight, Architect put Jinwoo in a delusion and waited for the Shadow Monarch to take control of his body. While Kandiaru was waiting for the Shadow Monarch, some hunters entered the double dungeon in search of Jinwoo. They attacked Kandiaru and tried to bring Jinwoo back to consciousness, but Kandiaru was too powerful and easily overpowered all of them. Just as he was about to kill them, Jinwoo regained his consciousness.
Upon seeing this, Kandiaru was totally shocked because he found out Ashborn had betrayed him. Kandiaru commanded his statues to kill the remaining humans and tried to disable the system to strip Jinwoo of his powers. But, he found that Ashborn had already locked him out of the system, leaving him powerless. Then Jinwoo sliced him apart and killed him.
How Powerful Is He
Kandiaru was a remarkably powerful being. He possessed incredible physical strength; he was able to make Jinwoo fly with just one punch and pushed him to his limits during their battle. Kandiaru could move at astonishing speeds, making it difficult for Jinwoo to react to his attacks in time. His durability was also extraordinary, allowing him to withstand powerful blows.
In terms of combat skills, Kandiaru was highly proficient, showing expertise in both hand-to-hand and sword-based fighting. He could effortlessly match Jinwoo’s techniques, whether they involved weapons or not. Surprisingly, Kandiaru could speak and understand Korean perfectly, making communication easy with Jinwoo and others. He also had the unique ability to control his statues like puppets, showcasing his control over his creations.
Kandiaru had almost complete control over the System, allowing him to manipulate it as he wished. He had the power to strip Jinwoo of his abilities, but Ashborn prevented this by locking Kandiaru out of the System. Lastly, Kandiaru possessed the authority to telekinetically move and control objects, further highlighting his immense power and capabilities.
