Go Gunhee is a vassal of the Brightest Fragment of Brilliant Light and the Chairman of the Korean Hunters Association. He used to be the strongest hunter in South Korea, but due to his old age, he is slowly losing his power.
Back then when healing magic was discovered, he thought that using healing magic could reverse his age. Unfortunately, even though healing magic can heal the body, it can’t reverse a person’s age. That’s why he gave up on returning as a hunter. After that, he joined as the chairman of the South Korea Hunter Association.
His Relation With jiwnoo
Gunhee was a kind and sincere person who valued people with good morals but disliked those who were selfish. He was highly respected in Korea. He worked very hard, even to the detriment of his health. He had a strong passion to do good and wished he could hunt again, feeling held back by his age.
He had a good relationship with Jinwoo. In the Monarch arc, he was killed by the Frost Monarch. Even though Jinwoo came to rescue him, unfortunately, he had lost too much blood.
After the Rulers used the Cup of Reincarnation one last time on Jinwoo’s request, a new timeline started where people didn’t know about magic beasts. In this timeline, Gunhee never became a hunter and wasn’t killed by the Frost Monarch.
Years later, Gunhee became very sick. Jinwoo visited him secretly and gave him the holy water of life, which made him live 10 years longer. Gunhee didn’t fully believe Jinwoo’s story about their past adventures but took the water anyway.
When the water’s effect wore off after 10 years, Gunhee was back in the hospital. Jinwoo offered to heal him again, but Gunhee declined. He was grateful for the extra 10 years and wanted to remember their old adventures. After Jinwoo gave him back those memories, Gunhee thanked him and peacefully passed away with a smile.
His Power and Abilities
As a Ruler’s vessel, Gunhee was one of the most powerful hunters globally. Despite his incredible strength and speed, his age limited him from using his abilities to their fullest and for extended periods, making him less powerful than other humans granted power by the Rulers in the past decade.
He had immense physical strength, able to break thick layers of ice with a single headbutt and effortlessly block energy blasts from frost monarch using just his hand. Gunhee was also incredibly fast, keeping pace with frost monarch in their short fight and agile enough to dodge attacks even at close range. He could control and move objects with telekinesis and had the ability of Spiritual Body Manifestation.
