The Hero of the South was a brave fighter who stood against demons alongside Himmel and Frieren. People said he was the strongest among humans. His last fight happened in the Northern Plateau, where he confronted all seven of the Demon King’s powerful Sages of Destruction and his trusted advisor, Schlacht the Omniscient. Despite facing such formidable foes, he managed to defeat three of the Sages and Schlacht before falling in battle.
The Hero of the South visited Frieren in the forest a year before his death. He invited her to join him in defeating the Demon King, but she declined. He admitted he couldn’t persuade her and revealed he could foresee the future. He predicted his own demise by the hands of Schlacht the Omniscient and the Seven Sages of Destruction. Despite this, he assured Frieren that a new hero would come to fulfill the task. He asked Frieren to tell the new hero of his promise to carve a path for humanity’s future, even if his own achievements were forgotten.
How Powerful Is He?
The Hero of the South was known far and wide for his incredible strength, earning his title as the mightiest among humans. He proved his prowess by defeating three of the Seven Sages of Destruction and the all-knowing Schlacht in a battle against them all at once. In just a year, he managed to push back the Demon King’s frontline troops to the farthest reaches of the Northern Plateau, showcasing his tactical brilliance.
Armed with two longswords, he mastered the art of dual-wielding. What truly set him apart, however, was his unique ability to foresee the future, a rare magic that even extended beyond his own lifetime. He prophesied that another hero, Himmel, would ultimately vanquish the Demon King. This power, according to him, was the key to his unparalleled strength, with only Schlacht possessing something similar.
