Ashborn/Shadow Monarch and Antares are the strongest characters in the Solo Leveling universe after the Absolute Being. No one can match their powers and abilities individually. Ashborn is the greatest fragment of brilliant light, while Antares is the oldest and strongest monarch.
Ashborn / Shadow Monarch Feat
Ashborn is a ruler, a monarch, and also the god of death. He is the most loyal creation of God. When he was a ruler, he was the most powerful among them. He led the rulers in the fight against the monarch. But after unlocking the hidden power inside him, he became more powerful than before.
His physical strength was unmatched, allowing him to easily defeat two Monarchs in battle and crush Baran’s skull effortlessly. He had the ability to transfer his powers to a suitable human host and could telekinetically control objects.
Ashborn could extract shadows from fallen enemies to add to his army and use these shadows as portals to travel quickly across great distances. He could also store and monitor these shadows and boost their strength by 50% during battles.
Antares Monarch of Distruciton Feat
Antares is the king of dragons and Monarch of destruction. He was the most powerful and oldest Monarch; only Ashborn could match his strength, though Antares was slightly stronger. He had immense physical strength, demonstrated when he easily held his own against Jinwoo and overpowered him. His speed was almost unmatched, allowing him to keep up with Jinwoo’s movements and react quickly to his attacks.
Antares had exceptional durability, being nearly immune to physical damage; most of Jinwoo’s attacks couldn’t harm him, forcing Jinwoo to use unconventional tactics. Additionally, Antares could emit a fear-inducing shout, breathe destructive fire capable of incinerating even S-Rank Hunters, and transform into a massive red dragon or a human-dragon hybrid. He also had the ability to communicate telepathically with other Monarchs.
Final Thoughts
These two are the most powerful individuals in Solo Leveling, even though they never fight 1v1. Selecting one is tough, but I think Ashborn’s Shadow Extraction power gives him an extra edge. If they fought in the manhwa, their fight would be very destructive and long. But in the end, I think Ashborn will defeat Antares because of his necromancer power. In the manhwa, Jinwoo defeated Antares, who is a vassal of Ashborn.
